AUTO-IGNITION OF HYDROCARBONS

Gasoline has a low auto-ignition temperature! It’s really dangerous to get a hot sample of light naphtha! Heavy products are safer to sample! Even if they’re really hot!

Auto-ignition of hydrocarbons

Safety first! But diesel has a lower auto-ignition temperature than gasoline! It’s more dangerous to sample diesel at a high temperature than naphtha!
