Chapter 8
Introduction
Once the process is lean and clean, the next step is to decide on the following factors: whether to outsource, how to engage customers to do the work for you, the extent to which automation can speed and reduce the cost of the process, and finally, the extent to which the process can become environmentally safer without adding to its cost. Once this analysis is complete, the process is ready to be reconstructed with consideration of all recommended changes.
