OVERVIEW
The presentation of ideas and information is often a critical component in
the product development process. A well-orchestrated visual presentation
can create context for an idea, represent intangibles, and explain the details
of a concept or concepts. Because page layout and image creation are so
easily handled with computers, it is essential for the industrial designer to
have a rudimentary knowledge of graphic design terminology, page layout,
and file preparation. Forms, Folds, and Sizes (Rockport, 2004) is an
excellent reference for graphic design terminology.
