Introduction
Abstract
This is an encyclopedia and handbook of professional plant layout practice, based in codes or practice, standards, and interviews with professional layout designers from a number of disciplines. The three disciplines that tend to lead layout design have different approaches and terminology, so I set out in this chapter a base case in order to discuss variations on a theme.
