6.8. Recording and Analyzing Test Results
Test results provide valuable information on the system being tested. They are produced as a result of test execution. It is important to categorize and analyze the results formally in order to take advantage of the test execution events. The test environment or test project plan can be modified and updated based on understanding the testing results during each cycle of testing. Hence, it is important to collate all test results generated during all testing phases in a manner which is intuitive and useful.
