Expressive Imaging
Image processing refers to the process of digitally analyzing and manipulating an image so that it becomes more aesthetic or useful in some way. Although most of the time the output is also an image, statistical analysis results based on pixel values such as histograms are also common. Photoshop is perhaps the most well-known image editing software and enjoys a tremendous popularity that has seen the name enter the English language as a verb.
