There were tons of locations to secure. I had thought about shooting in my own apartment. One of the producers had the idea, “Let’s just rent someone else’s apartment so you can go home at the end of the day.” That was really smart. It seemed like kind of a weird indulgence at the time, but it definitely helped, to be able to get to go home after each day’s shooting.
