Postproduction

This part of the book takes a traditional approach to the editing process. The book is predicated on the director–producer relationship. This part is no different. We have also introduced the editor into the mix. We will call this a professional model, one that mirrors the history of motion pictures. We will follow the more professional path, but we recognize that many of you will be doing it alone and we acknowledge the pitfalls of doing so. In fact, the beginner/student reading this book may be functioning as the writer, director, producer, and editor.
