God of Love was rejected at Sundance, Southwest, Tribeca, and a lot of big film festivals. 18 minutes is a tricky length for programming at a festival. That’s true. It is hard when you’ve got a lengthier short. The first kind of big break was the Student Academy Awards. It had won the regional and then made it to the Student Oscars. By winning the gold medal at the Student Oscars, that qualified me to submit for the Oscars.
