Foreword

A gray ocean. A black sky. Forty-foot waves pound the deck of a large ship that is being tossed about in a violent storm like a toy. A helicopter emerges from the clouds cutting a momentary path through sheets of blinding rain towards the vessel below.

Imagine being pushed out of the helicopter and lowered by a thin cable down to the troubled ship. You hit the deck hard, holding on for dear life, as a huge wave breaks over the bow.
