The Publishing Team

As we discussed in the first chapter, the producer manages the production of the video game. On the dev side the focus is on the day-to-day elements of building the game, and on the publishing side the producer manages everything else necessary to get the game approved, promoted, and on the shelves. As with the developer, the publishing producer has monumental tasks assigned to them including scheduling, budgeting, team management, troubleshooting, being a liaison with partners and stakeholders, and of course, quality control.
