The Producer’s Role at the Concept Stage
At concept the producer establishes the tone, and direction, of the production. This is where processes will be established, roles will be defined, and the team dynamic will be dictated. The producer strategizes, implements, and drives all of these.
In the concepting stage, the creative director and producer are the ones at the forefront; they agree upon a direction and include the rest of the team to help fill in the blanks for the ideas that can add depth, features, and engagement to the game.
