AS IS EVIDENT FROM the previous chapters, PLM is an enterprise-wide and, in some cases, a supply-chain wide issue. Because of that, strategies at varying levels and over varying time frames need to be developed and coordinated. This chapter will discuss the issue of strategies and sub-strategies, the organizational levels that need to address them, the metrics that need to be employed in measuring their progress and success, and the results and returns that should be expected.
