Post-Production

With the completion of the shoot the time of greatest pressure on a production is probably over. However, this is not the time to relax because, as mentioned earlier, there may still be pressure on the editorial team to meet the delivery date.

The people involved in pre-production, the shooting crew and some of the assistants in the production office hopefully will move on to another film, but the production manager still has to see the film through the post-production phase. In the first instance, this means taking it through the editing period.

Editing

Once the shoot has finished the filmed material must be organized into script order; this is the beginning of the editing process.
