Hazard 16: Explosives and Pyrotechnics
A producer and director who worked on the BBC’s live transmission of the royal tournament appeared in court today under the Health and Safety at Work Act accused of negligence. They denied failing to take reasonable care of presenter Anthea Turner over an incident where her face was burnt when two fireworks were electrically ignited.

On one film last year sfx technician Nick Middleton was killed when an explosion went wrong. And on another production sfx supervisor Peter Dawson was badly burned following an accidental explosion in an sfx workshop.
