This chapter will discuss some of the key steps and features necessary to coordinate tank or bin storage. In many multi-level processes, aggregate inventory visibility, resource constraints, and logical relationships between the operations will be sufficient to create a good schedule that is executable across all the levels and meets the customer’s required quantities and due dates. However, some operations with storage tanks, bins, and specific flow paths between the operations will require more detail and visualization of the flows between the operations and the inventory in each tank or bin at any point in time.
