Creating a solid network for life
Going from school to college can be a difficult transition. Gone is the hand-holding through every decision in your life; now it’s time to take responsibility for your actions. The best advice you can take as a student is to get organised from day one. Being organised will save you so much grief and stress as the years pass on. This advice holds true whether you’re straight out of school or have been out for a while and going back to college part time or full time.
In this chapter, I show you how to organise your notes, schedule your time and create positive and productive habits for your success as a student.
Whether you prefer taking handwritten notes or electronic ones, it’s best to be consistent. Using the same note-taking method prevents you from losing notes or having to duplicate work trying to transfer all notes to the same format.
