Loading-Room Procedures

Loading-room procedures must be studied thoroughly; when they become “second nature,” they will ensure maximum efficiency. A loader should never deviate from the routine: Consistency in placement of film, tools, and supplies enable the loader to complete work in darkness with the ease and familiarity of working in daylight.

3.1 TESTING THE LOADING ROOM

The most important step in loading is the first: guaranteeing an absolutely lighttight room.
