Long, long ago, in a galaxy far, far away, Visio created the SmartShape symbol, and with it, the ShapeSheet. In that ShapeSheet, Visio felt that it was necessary to be able to store intermediate calculations—especially because, at that time, the number of characters that could be placed in any given ShapeSheet cell was very limited.
