Appendix D. Resources

This appendix lists several useful resources and links that can serve as additional reading and reference material for IIS Administrators.

IIS Product Group Resources

  • http://forums.iis.net hosts a set of forums for IIS issues, with members of the IIS Product Group, Microsoft MVPs, and Microsoft PSS staff assisting posters with issues and questions.

  • http://blogs.iis.net hosts blogs of team members from the IIS Product Group.

  • www.iis.net/downloads/default.aspx?tabid=3 provides a set of downloads and add-ons for IIS 7.0 (and also for previous versions), from the IIS Product Group, from Microsoft, and from third parties. The major add-ons mentioned in this book (such as FTP 7) can be downloaded from here.

  • news://news.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.inetserver.iis

  • news://news.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.inetserver.iis.security

These newsgroups are also accessible via a Web interface ...
