Targeting the Network
Abstract
This chapter discusses attacking wireless networks and network management protocols. Because wireless networks are prime targets for attack, and since they are harder to secure, we take a look at attacking both the WPA and WEP protocols in an effort to gain unauthorized access to internal networks. The SNMP is often overlooked in an internal pentest but, once compromised, can allow the pentester to have complete control over a network device, including routing of network traffic.
