7.3. Common Project Creation Errors

Sooner or later you are probably going to run into a problem while trying to create a Team Project. Some of the errors may be easy to fix, such as a simple permission change. Others might be slightly more complicated. In this section, you will touch on some of the basic permission and network errors you may encounter while trying to create a Team Project.

7.3.1. Permission Errors

Permission errors are probably some of the first errors you will encounter. The following table contains some error messages you may encounter and possible solutions for each:

Error Code	Description	Possible Solution
TF30016	You do not have permission to create a new SQL Server Reporting Services site on the server.	Your user account needs to be added to the SQL Server Reporting Services Site Administrator group and Content Manager group. See Chapters 2 and 4 for more information.
TF30034	You do not have permission to create a new Team Project.	You have the Create new projects permission, but are encountering a permission error elsewhere, such as with an IIS virtual directory. Check the project creation log for the specific error information and set the permissions appropriately.
