Marketing
Simply, marketing is putting your product or service in front of people and getting them to think about it. Sales is getting them to buy it from you. From the chapter on salesmanship, you have got the idea that success in sales depends on building a relationship with the customer or a group of clienteles.
Today, there are a multitude of marketing channels.
Social Networks: After all, didn’t we just see a President (Trump) use the social networks to keep his name in front of his customers (the voters). His tweets were constantly on the TV news at no cost.
Facebook: I am seeing more organizations (both non-for-profit and for-profit) using Facebook. There are many social networks to use. Just to mention a few: Linkedin, Snapchat, ...
