Build a Process
Problem: You need to design a process to fit the problem you identified.
Now that you’ve set your goals and identified the constraints, it’s time to build the process. You’ll need to think about who does what and when. Consider how information and artifacts flow through the process. What triggers the various steps? How do certain conditions change the path?
Look for Existing Patterns
Good news! You probably don’t need to invent a process from scratch. In open source, we borrow ideas from other communities all of the time. There’s a good chance that someone else already has a process that does what you’re after. Start with that. You can adapt it to meet your community’s specific needs if you have to.
