CHAPTER 6Power Skills

The future of work is changing. The recent years have shown us major scale disruptions in how we work, connect, and execute our work results. Although there have been immense explosions in technological innovations, it has never been clearer, more than ever, the criticality of soft, people, or social skills. PMI and other professionals around the world have been shifting to recognizing these skills as Power Skills. There is no surprise in the choice of these two words, as it has become more evident that these skills are the ones with the true power behind successful strategy execution. They are the future difference maker.

This chapter addresses the context of why it is valuable to explore the principles of creating the mindset shifts necessary of mastering these skills.
