Installing and Configuring Excel Web Services

Recall that the infrastructure that supports Excel Web Services is available only in the enterprise version of MOSS 2007. To install the enterprise version, see the installation guide for Chapter 1. Assuming that you have the enterprise version installed and ready to go, you first need to configure access to the Excel Web service. EWS installs on the target machine and exposes functionality through the excelservice.asmx file located in <Drive>:\<servername>\<site>\_vti_bin\excelservice.asmx.
