Chapter 9. Connecting devices

Connecting multiple embedded devices for data exchange and remote device control is one of the most important elements for implementing IoT solutions. You do not connect devices only to acquire readings from remote sensors. Complex embedded systems can include two or more internal subsystems, which control specific parts of the larger system. You typically use wired communication interfaces in those situations, and you’re likely to use wireless interfaces, like Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, for remote device control and sensor readings.
