Chapter 12. Remote device monitoring
In this chapter, you create the remote device monitoring Azure IoT Suite solution, which consists of a cloud-based system to accumulate data coming from remote devices using the Azure IoT Hub and Azure Storage. Based on several other Azure services, like Azure Event Hubs, Azure Stream Analytics, and Microsoft Power BI, remote devices monitor solution processes and visualize sensor data and device location on the Bing map through the web app. (See Figure 12-1.) This portal also enables remote control of devices. You can send messages to a remote device to instruct the device to take a particular action.
