This section walks through the steps required to build a contextual collaboration solution using the Office Communicator Automation API and Microsoft Visual Studio 2008. This application provides a solution for the inventory request scenario described earlier in this chapter by doing the following:

• Displaying application-specific contact lists for employees to call other stores to make inventory requests

• Launching application-specific conversations directly from the application

• Accepting application-specific conversations in the application and displaying the context of the application
