Now that you’ve learned how to create different types of useful reports, the remainder of this chapter will show how to deliver those reports to your users.

Deploying to the Report Server

After you’ve built some reports and tested them in our development environment, it’s time to make them available for all users. Deployment involves uploading your report RDL files from the development environment to a report server where all users can access them. There are three ways to deploy reports: directly from within Visual Studio, by using a script and command-line utility, or from within the Report Manager Web interface. We will explore all three approaches next.
