Getting Set Up
Now that we have a good overview of what SQL Azure is, what it includes, and what it omits, and we have established that you can work with it for little or no money up-front, let’s look at how to sign up for a free trial account.
To sign up, you will need a Windows Live ID. Most readers of this book will already have one but if you don’t, or if you’d like to create a special Live ID for use with the Azure trial subscription, then go to http://signup.live.com and create one. For the purposes of this chapter, we set up a special Live ID under the email address programmingmssql2012@live.com.
