Using FTP in the Service
In this section we will set up a Microsoft FTP site with an upload and a download folder with the appropriate read/write privileges. Using these directories, we can read and write files that we’ll use to pass data between data stores such as SQL Server 2005. I’m using the Microsoft FTP Publishing Service on Windows Server 2003; however, this process will work on Windows XP, Windows 2000, and most other FTP Servers.
