When Things Don’t Go According to Plan
A project schedule provides a roadmap, but it is not infallible; it is based on accumulated knowledge and best guesses, and it makes a set of assumptions that do not always work out. For example, if the schedule was put together without any weighted estimates for effort or budget, the chance for meeting the exact date and budget is approximately 50%.
