26. Manipulating Data Using Other Applications

A solid project plan is more than just a schedule. There are project charters, requirements, and design specifications. There are contracts and permits. Often there are custom cost models that are simply easier to implement in a spreadsheet than in Project. Finally, there are obviously times when Project data needs to be inserted into another document, such as a monthly report.

Project makes it possible to link these kinds of project artifacts with tasks in Project, and to put Project data into other applications.
