The Art of Decision Analysis Reporting

The results of a decision analysis can be ignored or misinterpreted if they are not reported properly. Interpretations of decision analysis results are invariably affected by cognitive as well as motivational biases. Decision-makers may have difficulties interpreting results related to probability and risk, especially in the case of rare events with catastrophic outcomes. A number of diagramming tools can help in visualizing the results of project decision analysis and can minimize the chance that the results will be misinterpreted.
