Schedule optimization is often the major focus in project management. While heuristic scheduling is simple to implement, it does have some limitations. The limitations of heuristic scheduling include subjectivity, arbitrariness, and simplistic assumptions. In addition, heuristic scheduling does not handle uncertainty very well. On the other hand, mathematical scheduling is difficult to apply for practical problems.
