Chapter 9. Test Planning and Preparation
Purpose
The purpose of the Test Planning and Preparation Phase is to determine the testing required for producing a quality system and ensuring that adequate plans and data exist to conduct the testing. Testing often becomes the critical path activity on the project because rarely is this task planned for until the programs are largely written, and, even when planned for, it is usually underestimated and understaffed.
