Templates for Control

You might be able to use the control templates in this chapter just as they are, but if not you can adapt them at two levels. First, you can adjust each template to fit the needs of the sort of projects that you normally work with. Second, when you’re starting a new project, you can take a copy of your normal template and adjust again to fit your exact needs that time around. For example, if you have a particularly high risk project then you’ll almost certainly want a more extensive range of information in your Risk Log than you have normally.

As with all the other templates in this book, you can download electronic versions in Microsoft Word and Excel formats from the www.dummies.com/extras/pmchecklists. Feel free to adjust the electronic templates in any way that you like to suit the needs of your projects, even if that’s only to include your organisation’s logo.
