Glossary

8/80 Rule
   A project management rule stating that tasks should take no more than 80 hours and no fewer than 8 hours of labor to create. It prevents work packages from being too large or too small to manage.
Action meeting
   A meeting designed for getting something done or making decisions, followed by action items or minutes.
Activity
   The work performed to achieve a result.
Activity description
   A statement that specifies what should be done to achieve a result.
Activity-on-arrow
   A network diagram showing a sequence of activities; an arrow represents each activity with a circle representing an event at each end.
