Managing and Leading Small Projects

The project manager is responsible for the overall success of the project. To be successful, the project manager must both manage and lead the small project. Warren Bennis, a well- known expert on leadership, has stated that managers are people who do things right and leaders are people who do the right thing. Both roles are crucial, and they differ profoundly.1 Managers are efficient and leaders are effective. The combination of efficiency and effectiveness is what makes a good project manager.
