Projects can originate (and transform) in many ways: Teachers can engage students in a project of their own design, students can start with an idea and develop it into a full project, or frequently, there is a discovery stage where both students and teachers explore possible project ideas and then collaborate on project designs that capture students’ interests and motivations and also cover the needed areas of the curriculum.
