3.7 Graphical representation of progress information
3.7.1 Gantt chart
Progress information can be shown on a Gantt chart by shading completed or partly completed activities. Figure 3.1 shows the Gantt chart that was produced in Chapter 2, updated to show the actual situation at the end of week 3 of the project. At this point the following information could be reported:

B. allocate room | only took one week to complete, not two |
C. write/test software | seems to be going well — reported as 50% completed |
D. draft office procedures | started two weeks late — 25% complete |
E. install office furniture | not started — awaiting delivery from supplier |
