We have already outlined some of the processes involved in implementing a change:
submission and receipt of change requests;
review and logging of change requests;
determination of the feasibility of change requests;
approval of change requests (or rejection or ‘putting on hold’);
implementation and closure of change requests.
In the Canal Dreams project, the project manager has also been allocated the role of change manager. A former booking clerk at one of the boatyards who has taken up a co-ordinating role in the central finance office has been selected to act as change requestor.
