The Standard Path
For certification/credential owners, professional development and continuing education are mandated. The Standard path is to attend education sessions that count toward continuing education requirements, submit the forms for credit, and pay renewal fees.
The Evil Path
For PMP® holders, there are plenty of opportunities to do things “just for the Professional Development Unit” (PDU). You can launch a taped webinar from projectmanagement.com, leave it running in the background, and have the website submit the PDUs.
