A3: A four-step approach to problem solving and continuous improvement. Using an A3-sized sheet of paper (European, similar to 8½ x 11 in U.S.) to document information, (1) assess the current situation, (2) perform a root cause analysis, (3) determine the end goal and (4) document the corrective action(s). This method is widely used in Lean manufacturing.

Acceptance Criteria: A set of predefined requirements that must be met in order to mark a user story complete.
