Monitoring and Controlling Process

The project is underway now, and it is time to monitor the performance of the project against the master project management plan and to control changes that may occur by ensuring that those changes go through the change management process. It is here that you will monitor previously identified risk events and work closely with a contract administrator.

Controlling the project simply means keeping it on track. This may well be the most important work of the project; if the deviations are significant and not managed carefully, the objectives of the project may not be met. In this phase you’ll gain an understanding of:
