Summary, themes and tips
ORGANISATIONAL CHANGE IS INCREASING, yet the high levels of failure indicate that effective management of these changes is still lacking (CIPD, 2007). Such a gap tells us that there is much to learn about how to manage change more effectively. We know that a lack of project management discipline can lead to slippages in timings, in achievement of desired outcomes or in ensuring that projects do deliver as planned. An integrated, project management approach to change directly addresses risks to successful change implementations, ensuring that interventions are both effective and sustainable in the long term.
