Partnering for Success
Partnering is a proven, powerful process that PMs can use to secure the commitment of all stakeholders and ensure project success. It is also a tool that formalizes otherwise happenstance teamwork and cross-organization collaboration.
Partnering is not a familiar concept to most PMs because it is not a typical feature of the standard project management approach; however, it is a good business practice that has been used for years and it is growing in popularity. When the partnering process is used effectively, the incremental costs of partnering are small in relationship to the value and benefits gained: a clearer, common understanding of project objectives and increased participant commitment to project success. ...
