Introduction

Having made a case for wellbeing in the previous chapter, we now move on to suggest a framework for getting started with wellbeing in the workplace, with these three fundamental tenets: personal resilience, creating the right environment and aligning your leaders. In this chapter we will reference quite a bit of academic research, which we hope will provide a further source of reading and an evidence base for our claims. Although some of these studies, like most academic literature, may feature contested views, we consider them to be the best sources of reference at the time of writing and therefore include them for information.
