Affective and Motivational Processes

INTRODUCTION

The study of affective and motivational processes has been at the centre of psychological theory and research since the very inception of the discipline. Researchers have approached these processes from the neurophysiologcial, phenomenological, cognitive, psychometric and behavioural perspectives. Notwithstanding the variety in the approaches adopted, these processes have been assigned a key role in accounting for the dynamics of behaviour. They are deployed in key strategic interventions to achieve diverse goals in the clinical, organizational, developmental and educational domains of behaviour.
